8 weeks, 5 days and we’ve graduated!!

Thankfully I didn’t get the horrible cold (or was it the flu) that hubby had a couple weeks ago! He was down and out for a few days, but it seems to have missed me so I am glad about that! Knock on wood!

We went in this afternoon for our 3rd ultrasound at the fertility clinic. Everything is looking great!! Baby’s heartbeat is measuring at a strong 166. I can’t remember if that would mean boy or girl based on the old wives tail and to be honest, I don’t really care at this point. I am happy to just be pregnant, healthy and for everything to be going as planned. The baby is measuring 4 times the size it was just 2 weeks ago when we were in last. No wonder I am so tired all the time! We also found out that our clinic does a birthday party every year for all of the babies born. How fun is that?? It sounds like we may miss it this year based on my due date, but we’ll get to go next year. What a fun thing for them to do.

Here is a picture of our little peanut – hubby thinks it looks like a shrimp – you be the judge:

March 18 ultrasound

We also graduated today! This is the day I have really been looking forward to. No more appointments at the fertility clinic – I got to call and make my first prenatal appointment with my regular OB/Gyn. I get to be a “regular” pregnant person. I will say though, I am not opposed to going back there some day. We do still have 2 frozen embryos after all!!

I have been feeling pretty good. I still tend not to feel very well in the mornings, but I am not physically sick so I suppose I can handle a little nausea. I am still constantly hungry, but thankfully fruit is very appealing to me right now.
